CABELA'S Cabela's Signature® Semi-Synthetic Two-Cycle Oil

Cabela’s Signature Oil is the only TC-W3 two-cycle oil that provides all these features to protect and enhance the performance of your outboard: smokeless combustion, inherent gel resistance, clean-burning detergent additives, increased lubricity by using synthetic additives, and low aquatic toxicity. This formula greatly exceeds tough TC-W3 requirements, surpassing all outboard manufacturers’ stringent warranty requirements. A unique blend of synthetic and mineral-based oil stocks and rust and oxidation inhibitors compounded with next-generation lubricity and viscosity enhancers will extend the performance and service of all two-cycle engines. An elite detergent additive keeps your engine running clean, even when burning low-grade fuels. Lower aquatic toxicity means Signature oil can be present in the water at significantly higher concentration levels than other oils before impacting fish populations. Designed for any oil-injection, direct fuel injection or pre-mix application. Available: Quart, Gallon.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that if this is semi-synthetic then it is already mixed with Mother Nature's own processed dinosaurs.

In automobile engines (yeah, I know, 4 stroke) they emphasize that you can mix, go all synth, go back all natural, and on and on (except for the guy a Spiffy Lube who makes and extra Jefferson if you spring for the synth).

I'm an Old mechanic who has taken apart more motors than I've driven, but that doesn't mean I'm always right. If somebody with neat initials after his name wants to chime in I will stand down.

The Cabela's Signature® Semi-Synthetic Two-Cycle Oil, item IK-019633, we would recommend using up as much of the non-synthetic oil as possible before adding the synthetic blend oil so as to not dilute the quality of the synthetic oil.

This is a semi-synthetic oil, not full synthetic. This oil will work in any engine that requires TC-W3 oil. While it's not yet TC-W3 certified for 2014 (as of March according to the NMMA website), it has been every year in the past.
I used this in my Evinrude Ficht (which are very picky about oil) and now in my Yamaha HPDI's. It burns about as dirty or clean as the XD-50, which is also semi-synthetic. Get it on sale and save yourself a ton of money over the high priced OEM oils.

Yes you can. It has a JASO FD rating, the highest available. OK with Power Valves.

During your warranty period on a new snowmobile, you should use the expensive Manufacturers oil to avoid and issues with engine warranty. They Got You !!

This would be similar to XD-50 semi-synthetic. This is TC-W3 rated, XD-50 is not. Both have all kinds of additives that make for good marketing hype. Bottom line is this works about the same as XD-50 in terms of soot and smoke in my 2000 Ficht 200.

From what I can tell, this oil is equivalent to XD-50 semi-synthetic. I've been running this in place of XD-50 in my 2000 ficht and it seems to be about the same as the XD-50 in terms of smoke and soot.
While the XD-50 claims to have additives to reduce soot, this does too. The XD-50 is NOT TC-W3 rated whereas this is. My Evinrude requires either their brand oil or TC-W3 rated oil.

If your Merc requires TC-W3 oil then this will work. I've run this in my Evinrude instead of XD-50 and it works just fine. Results are about the same as the XD-50 (also a semi-synthetic).
