Just how much plastic is on this auger? I fish in pretty cold locations, so I don't want shattered plastic to be an issue.

there is a fair amount of plastic but i havent had any issues but if the plasic pieces were made of metel i bleive it would be just to heavy!!!

the pull hand on the cord and the cover over that are plastic and the throttle is plastic but the throttle is protected enough it should be fine
