Question

Cyclones...any barrel-leading problems?

Most of the reviews are worthless because they don't identify the particular type of Remington .22lr being reviewed.

Thought I'd try asking a question here to try to obtain the desired information. RE: REMINGTON CYCLONES...Has anyone experienced any barrel-leading problems using this variety of Remington ammo?

I've used most types of Remington 22 Ammo, The only ones I try to Avoid are Golden Bullets. They just don't work well with my Guns, Plus the Gold Colored Stuff gets all over the Place. But no I've never had a Problem with Barrel Leading with Cyclones or Thunderbolts. They aren't Copper Plated like my Preferred Ammo, But the Black Coating seems to hold up well and help with loading.

Question

How can it be "subsonic" if the barrel velocity is 1500?

I'm looking to use them with a suppressor. It seems the description can't be true; it can't be "subsonic" with that velocity?

I used the subsonic all the time for small game hunting. The noise level is incredibly low. I literally shot 3 squirrels in a 1/2 acre area without any problems. I am so impressed with this ammo. I tested the ammo for accuracy at 50 yards compared to my other ammo and the accuracy was the same. I am now at a point where I save this ammo exclusively for hunting....there is so much better of a chance to harvest more game than any other ammo that I ever used. I shoot a lot of targets as well..... and again....the performance is the same as my other ammo....just the noise level generated is so much more impressively lower.

Must be a misprint, I believe anything over 1150-1200fps is considered "high velocity" usually. It seems Standard Velocity is Usually 1,000-1,100fps and under 1000fps as subsonic. I'm not an expert on any of this but just from what I've seen. Like the cbee is only 710fps and will not function in a semi auto as it does not create enough blowback to push the bolt or slide back to eject the shell casing and load the next round. They are mad quiet though!!!

I bought some of these CBee 22's. The bullet is a brass washed truncated cone hollow point. So far so good, right?

Wrong. They are low power squib loads at 740fps and 40 ft lbs muzzle energy.

Unless you intend to punch paper at nearly point blank range, do not buy. Will NOT function a semi auto gun.

I made the mistake of buying some of these Cbee22's and they are brass washed truncated cone hollow points. That's ok...

The bad news is, they are LOW POWER "low noise" SQUIB LOADS. Only 740fps and 40 ft lbs. Do Not Buy - unless you're only punching paper at near point blank range.

I bought the CBee22's. The bullet type is a brass washed truncated cone hollow point.

That's ok, but please BE AWARE that the CBee22's are squib loads at a meager 740fps and 40fp energy. While the Cyclone's will supposedly function a semi-auto, CBee's say right on the box in ultra fine poor contrast print that they will NOT function semi-auto's.

CBee22: For most 22LR applications, DO NOT BUY.

Yes it is Remington's low Noise 22 lr bullet. This means the velocity is 740 fps instead of a normal bullet at 1400 fps. It will not shoot out of a semi automatic. It's still OK for your kids single shot weapons shooting pop cans but would not use in a hunting situation. Its quieter because there is very little powder in them about 1/3 the amount a normal 22 lr has.
