I'm not sure but got a big container of it when I got the tumbler and have hardly used any of it yet after having done about 100 cases. I usually do about 20 at a time which seems about right for the size of it.

I have been using corn cob media with the Cabela's case polish in the 1200 and it does not leave any film that I can detect.

I've done over 2500 rounds of 223/5.56 and 9mm Luger and the cases come out sparkling clean using corn cob.

So, I think the "best" media is the one that works best for the brass and setup you have, and produces the results you like.

Corn cob media produces a dust that may be objectionable if you are loading in your home. My own loading bench is in the basement. Prefer crushed walnut hull or Lyman's TuffNut. No dust and cleans better than corn cob media, in my opinion.

I have found the corn cob media is less expensive. However the walnut is a little more aggressive in cleaning. There are methods to improve the corn cob while keeping cost low.

I have used it to clean 7.62 X 54R cases which are similar in size. I can easily do 40-50 at a time. Probably could do more, but usually only have this amount in need of clearning.

answer 4
I can't faithfully answer the question for 30-06, but since I run 7.62x54R through my 1200 Pro and because the case is very near the size of the 30-06 I will tell you that I run 80-120 cases on Corn Cob media with Brass Polish from 2-3 hours.

The more brass you put in it, the longer from 2 hours you may have to run it. It does do a great job at cleaning. I tried it with and without Brass Polish and both came out clean, but with BP it comes out very shiny.

Yes it cleans inside and out. But for "stubbern" debris on necks, you may want to have a brush on hand.
