EVO SHIELD EvoShield ShooterShield

The EvoShield ShooterShield reduces felt recoil to nothing more than a gentle push. EvoShield’s revolutionary custom-forming pad is held in place by a comfortable performance shirt. The thin pad arrives soft and pliable in a sealed foil pouch, then hardens to reduce felt recoil by more than 90%. During the 10-minute forming process, the butt of your gun forms a groove in the pad to match your gun set. The pad also molds to your shoulder in your shooting position. This custom-formed anchor point allows you to have a consistent gun set and shoot more accurately. Shirt is 82/18 polyester/spandex. Available for right-handed shooters only. Made in USA. Sizes: Medium (36"-40"), Large (40"-44"), XL (44"-48"), 2XL (48"-52"). Colors/Camo pattern: Black, Olive, Realtree AP™ .

Customer questions and answers for EVO SHIELD EvoShield ShooterShield

Question

Evoshield size to fit?

The fitting instructions say to order a Large if your chest size is 40"-44". However I have a friend who prefers a medium because he says the Large moves around on your body too much to maintain a 'set' shooting position. Any advice? THANKS, John N.

The EVO Shield Recoil Shield and Shirt - Right Handed sizing information listed is the recommended sizing. If you feel going down a size would be better for you personally then it would be worth a try.

I ordered my shirt in one size smaller than I usually wear and the compression factor on my torso does keep the shirt's recoil pad from moving around too much.

I wear a size smaller than recommended because I am comfortable with the tight shirts. I feel it does keep the pad in a much more secure position. I would order both sizes, try them, and then return what doesn't fit.

Question

Is the EvoShield Recoil Shield and Shirt available in a Left Handed version?

If not I should be able to ware it insde out under a light jacket. This would place the pad on the left side, do you think this would still be effective? I shoot a .338 LP Mag.

I had the same issue. I use to play baseball and had elbow and shoulder surgery. I am left handed. I wore the shirt in reverse at first and the pad is ambidextrous. EvoShield now makes the shirt in a left handed shooter model. I purchased it from them and love it too. There customer service was really good on top of it. I believe I have the first left handed shirt they sold.

Question

Does the EvoShield recoil shirt provide adequate recoil protection for shotguns (12 ga) that do not have a built in recoil pad?

I am asking for an opinion. It is for clays.

Not really and it's going to throw off your aim.If you decide to use it, you'll have to practice a lot with it on.

That's kind of subjective, i.e. depends on the shooter. The Evo will make a big difference. Personally I prefer to use the Evo Shield & a "Limbsaver" recoil pad for optimal recoil reduction. There are also other good recoil pads that will help. I'm on the thin side, if you're a big guy you may not feel you need one.

Yes it does, protects the shoulder very well. Follow the directions for setting up the pad. I ordered one size smaller than what I usually wear, the shirt fits tight & keeps the pad in place. I have no recoil pad on my 12 ga & I had no problem or pain. Multiple shots, multiple times no pain problems
