Do I need to order two?

I am looking at purchasing a Walker Game Ear for my father to see if it will help his hearing. I am wondering if I only order one ear piece will it make him off balanced or cause any other type of symptoms.

The Walker's® Game Ear can be used individually, but for the best results and even hearing you really need to have a set.

One is great!! Two is fantastic!! Half the population is walking around with one ear better than the other so if you are just looking for a hearing aid I think one should be great. you can always order a second down the road.

when i first used mine,i felt different,,but thats probably because my hearing was bad..it did NOT make me unbalanced at all..im only going to use one for now

These Game Ear units are sold singly, ie; one unit per item purchased. To get one for both ears, one would need to order
two.

Yes they protect your hearing from loud sounds but for best protection you will need to carefully fit the foam ear plugs (not the rubber ones) and of course you will need them in both ears. They will not protect your ears from long periods of moderately loud sounds as they have a rather high cutoff level.

I went right to Walker's website for the specs. Yes, you can use these for your everyday hearing aids, as I do, if 50 db of gain is sufficient. Some of the available products in this produce area have only 30 db, but these do have 50 db. They come supplied with a smaller tip for everyday use, but it doesn't provide hearing protection. I switch tips when I go to the range or hunting. It is simple, no tools.....and about 5 seconds each.

Do any models have an on / off switch?

Some hearing enhancement devices turn on and off by opening the battery compartment. I do not care for that means of turning on or off.

There is no power switch. Pulling the battery tab is the only way to turn it off.
