Customer questions and answers for
BROWNING Browning® A-Bolt II Medallion Bolt-Action Rifle

The A-Bolt design is a favorite among bolt-gun enthusiasts, and for several good reasons – A unique, highly efficient design, hunter-friendly features and all-around great looks. Its short, 60º bolt throw provides plenty of thumb clearance between the bolt knob and the scope, making cycling incredibly fast and comfortable. The rifle’s free-floating, hand-chambered barrel with target crown makes it inherently accurate with the right load, too. A medallion-grade, select gloss-finish walnut stock, complete with rosewood forend cap, brings supreme elegance to this new-age-classic rifle. Its hinged floor-plate and detachable five-round box magazine makes loading and unloading fast and safe. Convenient top-tang safety.

The Browning X-bolt has a new three-lever Feather Trigger provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and minimal overtravel and the trigger is screw adjustable from 3 to 5 pounds and factory pre-set at approximately 3 1/2 pounds. The Browning A-bolt has a chrome-plated trigger sear provides cleaner, crisper trigger pull. Screw adjustable and pre-set at approximately 4 pounds. The Browning X-bolt has a bolt unlock button works in conjunction with the top-tang safety to provide an added measure of safety during checking and unloading of the chamber where the Browning A-bolt does not. not a whole lot a diff. , i have a 270 a bolt medalion and the only diff i see is the x bolt is tricked out a little more. they both shoot exceptionaly well, i get 1/4 to 1/2 in groups with my a bolt shooting either hornady sst or fusion 140's, you really can't go wrong with either one. hope this helps.
