Question

Does the Cabelas Windham edition MPC with flip up sights come with a carry handle? Sku00361462

On Windhams web site is shows the MPC as having a removable carry handle and no flip up sighting but its not the Cabelas edition. Will I be able to mount a handle and remove the flip up sight? Are there any downsides of not having the removable handle new in the box? Will an after market handle fit?

answer 2
Long story short - yes. Windham Weaponry used to be called Bushmaster. The Freedom Group bought Bushmaster in 2006. The Freedom Group closed the Bushmaster production plant in Windham, Maine, let everyone go, and started producing the Bushmaster line at an expansion in one of Remington's plants. In response to this move, the original owner of Bushmaster created a new company, Windham Weaponry, and rehired many of the original Bushmaster employees. The rifles currently being made come out of the factory that Freedom Group closed.

This has been asked and answered already. The WW rifle is chambered for 5.56. This is a much hotter round than the .223 even though they share the same physical dimensions.

a free float forend would require the removal of the issue sight that is pinned in. Other than that, the forend is easily replaced with any other forend that attaches to a mil-spec barrel (forend cap and conventional barrel nut). Plenty of drop in forends out there however, that offer the use of rails.
