Customer questions and answers for OZONICS Ozonics HR-200 Scent Eliminator Device

Question

Does this product work in cold weather?

I live in WI, and at the end of the early season we can see temps in the low teens, not to mention the below zero temps we can get in the late bow season. Does the cold affect the battery life? Is the fan noise louder in colder weather?

Thanks for the help

I have used this unit for 3 yrs. I've used it early & late season. A battery that's in good condition, fully charged should not pose any problems in cold weather conditions. My unit's fan is very quiet. If your unit's fan is noisy I would contact Ozonics either by email or phone. Their customer service support is pretty good. They replaced 2 bad batteries for me that were bad right out of the package. They battery life during cold weather might be a little shorter, maybe 3 hours vs 4. I carry an extra battery or 2 with me if I'm going to be out for extended periods during cold weather.

Dude this ozonics thing is worthless. I bought and used for two seasons thinking i had big advantage now, "NOT". You can use it and tell yourself the deer are not smelling you but usually juvenile deer, they usually dont smell you anyway but let a mature whitetail walk down your windstream and sees what happens, prob snort and get out of area. I dont get smelled alot because i try play wind but it doesnt matter if i have ozonics on or not i get smelled about same percantage than i did before. Its a scam save your money.

answer 3
It depends on how discharged the battery is. I would say about an hour. I've been using this unit for 3 years. I carry 3 batteries with me but only 2 in the field. I rarely have to use all 3 batteries for a weekend hunt. When I come in at night I recharge the battery I used that evening. During early season I might use two batteries during the whole day of hunting. They recharge fairly fast. You'll know the battery is recharged when the light dims on the charging unit.

It depends how much of the battery you used. If it is totally drained, it usually takes me about 3-4 hours to recharge the battery.

Ozone is a colorless gas which can have negative effects on humans if consumed in high concentrations or in smaller concentrations over time. There are federal safety standards for the human consumption of ozone.

Ozonics designs and builds the HR-200 Scent Eliminator Device, item # IK-419624, to these standards (OSHA, EPA and NIOSH). Outdoors, it is virtually impossible to exceed these federal standards. Indoors, if there is ventilation (air movement), it is also virtually impossible to exceed these federal standards.

I've used this product for 3 years of deer hunting in Minnesota. Both in a tree stand and in a ground blind. The HR-200 has 2 settings. One for use in a tree stand and the other for ground blinds. I've never, ever had a problem with the ozone produced by this unit. It actually has a nice fresh smell to it. That's how I know the unit is working. I've had deer come bed down within 20 yds of my tree stand when using this unit. In a ground blind you use the lower setting and I have still never had a problem with being overcome by ozone.

I have used the product and had no health issues. You don't want to have it blowing in your face. Aim it downwind and you should be fine.

Question

What is the Ozonics warranty?

I bought Ozonics last October with a spare battery. I have issues getting the unit to work with either charged battery. It worked great last season and was stored indoors the past 9 months without use.

Either Email or call the people at Ozonics. I had 2 batteries, (I have 3 total) that I purchased in addition to the 1 that comes with the unit, that were bad from the start. I got ahold of Ozonics and they replaced both batteries, no questions asked.
