The Rage Crossbow 2-Blade Broadhead, item IK-419941, has a cutting diameter of 1.75” and the regular rage heads have a cutting diameter of 2” to help increase the amount of penetration.

Question

2 blade broadhead

Looking for either 2 blade broadhead or just flat crossbow bolt tips for 90 lb crossbow. Bolts are 6.5" so they would have to be fairly light. While typical responses include buying larger crossbow, this is home made unit that sufficiently will bring down a rabbit or wild turkey at 280 feet.

Does anyone have any idea where I might locate the replacement tips? 6.5 inch bolts are screw on type.

I probably would not recommend a mechanical broadhead at your low kenetic energy. It may fail to open properly at such low energy. Go with a light- weight fixed blade, and keep razor sharp.

I would like to get some opinions on what kind of broadheads are best to use with my crossbow. Mechanical versus fixed blade, etc.

I have used only mechanica broadheads with my crossbow, I have used NAP spitfires in the past and they are about 1-2 inches off from field points at 45 yards. Now I use the rage 2 blade for crossbow and they hit exactly the same as field points at 45 yards, I have never shot a fixed blade so can't help with that. I shoot a strykezone 380, which is about 370 FPS, and have killed multiple deer with both these broadheads, so my opinion is mechanical are awesome!

I shoot a Wicked Ridge Invader and highly recommend the Rage 125gr. This broadhead flies smooth with an unbeatable blood trail. Truly top of its class.

As a writer, I test lots of broadheads for indurance, accuracy, and reliability. Yes, mechanicals, as they shoot almost to target-point placement. And yes, Rage Two-Blade Crossbow Broadhead, either 100 or 125 grain depending on your game. They are tough, ALWAYS open on impact, stay intact, and are razor sharp. I have used them on several hunts a year, and even on elk out to 40 yards, they always exit intact on broadside shots. As the ads say, they leave awesome blood trails.

Don't listen to the folks that tell you that Crossbow Broadheads are different from regular compound bow broadheads.. it's not true at all. I shoot the NAPS Spitfire mechanical broadheads and the Muzzy G3 fixed blades and both perform excellent. Stay away from the Rage crossbow Braodheads they are horrible IMO.

This was my first season out using a crossbow. I made a great choice with the Rage 2 blade crossbow heads. I took a 25 yrd shot on a large 8 point in what I call billy goat country. He ran 15 feet up hill before piling up & rolling down hill towards me.
