You can, but it's not real easy to see during bright sunlight. I still prefer to download them and see them on the computer, but during season when I'm checking it regularly, it will be nice to be able to scan through them quickly and delete them if there's not a big buck or something I want to see on the computer.

Question

Video screen went black after pressing menu button twice.

Video screen went black after pressing menu button twice while in setup mode. After removing the SD card, hoping to reset it, and pushing a bunch of buttons, still no screen. Then it popped up "no SD card inserted". So I inserted card and the screen went black again. Is there anyway to reset it? I replaced batteries thinking that could be the problem; it wasn't. Any ideas?

The Cabela's Outfitter Series® 8MP IR Trail Camera, Item: IK-461143, and SD card will operate well at low temperatures. Lead alkaline batteries are better during the warmer months and lithium battery's are more suited for colder temperatures. Below freezing temperatures can greatly affect the batteries.

Question

Time lapse mode intervals?

When the camera is set in time lapse mode what is the intervals between shots? I looked at the manual at a Cabela's store, and I believe it said it could be set from 5 minutes apart to 8 hrs apart. Is that correct because most other cameras have settings programmable anywhere from 5 seconds up. If it is preset at 5 minutes apart the camera would miss a LOT of animal movement if it was set to capture movement over a food plot.

I believe that it could work, as we have used one for a similar purpose. Chose a position location in such a way that the intended object or people in your case do not look directly at the camera. This camera does emit a soft red glow light at night. Use a cable lock to secure to mounting area.

You could just walk around entering from different trail locations to judge effectiveness. I did. Made for some interesting shots.
