The Beginning and Advanced Retriever Training Videos is more ideally suited to young pups (starting at around 1 month old), although the socializing and training techniques will still work for older puppies as well. If the dog to be trained already has some level of early training, it is also possible to move to the advanced training techniques of this system without using the basic training elements.

I used the obedience parts on my 5 year old doberman and it worked wonderfully.
