My Bushnell Banner has a 40mm front lens on it, so the Butler Creek size 13/14 should do the trick.

Real nice scopes. I have a Banner 1.5-4.5 mounted on two .22s I have, for rabbit hunting and a 3-9 mounted on my .270 for deer hunting. Pick the magnification to meet your range needs and get one. Good quality scope at a reasonable price.

Question

Reticle

I just want a simple duplex reticle. I read something about a Mil-Dot reticle in the description. Is the 3-9 riflescope a Mil-Dot, and if it isn't, then what is it?

No! I would go with a different low cost scope like a Nikon Buckmaster or a Burris Fullfield II. I have had a few Banners and they have not held up to the recoil of the .308.

Question

I have a 300 Weatherby Magnum in a Vanguard rifle. Would the Bushnell Banner 6-24x40 hold up to the heavy recoil?

I have read reviews of people using the Banner on a 300 Win Mag. The 300 Weatherby recoils heavier than a 300 win mag, so I wasn't sure if I could get by with the Banner or if I should buy something more expensive? The 300 Weatherby generates about 40ft-lbs of recoil, while the 300 Win Mag only about 25-30ft-lbs. Will this difference be great enough to cause the 6-24X40 Banner to not hold zero?

The Bushnell® Banner® Dusk & Dawn® Riflescope is not limited to any specific maximum caliber rifle. It has a Lifetime Limited Warranty without any limits on which firearm it is used on. Therefore, your .300 Weatherby Magnum should be well within the capabilities of that scope.

answer 2
why risk it. for a few $ more you can buy a bushnell elite 3200, which is recoil tested to a .375 mag. or the 4200 which is even more rugged. the banner's a ok scope. but on a weatherby .300, not really what it was designed for
