Question

How can I replace a lost owner's manual for my Alaskan Guide 3-12 EXT 30mm scope?

I misplaced the owner's manual for my Alaskan Guide 30mm scope. It is a 3-12 power with EXT reticle and a 52 objective diameter. I just got the scope mounted but now I can't find the specifics on the scope in order to get it setup correctly on my 22-250. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Question

EXT and 2nd focal plane

Is there a chart that spells out the distance represented from crosshair to each hash/dot of the EXT reticle and at each magnification level?
Example: If at 10x, the distance between the cross hair and the first hash mark represents 3 inches at 100 yards, does the same hash mark represent 2.7 inches when the scope is adjusted up to 11x? (The target image increased by 10% therefore the 3 inch representation was reduced by 10% to 2.7 due to the reticle being in the 2nd focal plane).

The Cabela's Alaskan Guide® 30mm Riflescope in the EXT reticle, please click on EXT in the Reticle column to bring up a picture of this type of reticle. The EXT reticle is "calibrated" at the maximum magnification setting in each model. Shooting at known ranges would be recommended to more precisely determine what real-world bullet drop would be expected at a given distance for a particular cartridge and firearm combination.

answer 2
This line of scopes has large turret knobs that are easy to adjust with both audible and tactile clicks, the knobs are in my opinion just the right size... Large enough to make easy adjustments but not so big that they stick out and snag on anything you get close to like many " tactical" scopes. They did however fail at the turret numbering system, read my review of this scope to see how and why before you buy to decide if it is something you can deal with or not.
