The yardage on the 3-9 is inside the scope, below the crosshairs. Each mark corresponds to 100 yds. The numbers on the turret, are just a reference for when you zero the scope at 100 yds., you can reset the turret back to the 0.

Most Nikon Riflescopes are capable of handling the recoil from high caliber Magnum Rifles as well as Muzzle Loading Rifles and can be made compatible with almost any ammunition and Rifle combination using Nikon's Spot-On program, as long as you have the ammunition data necessary.

All Nikon products feature glass manufactured in Japan. The product itsself is generally assembled and manufactured within Nikon's plants, including the Philippines.

answer 1
All Nikon riflescopes are designed with reticles in the second optical focal plane. This means that when you change the magnification, the reticle changes in proportion to the target.
That being said, since the crosshair is located in the optical center of the scope, it does not change point of impact with magnification changes.

If you look through the scope at a target and vary the magnification, you will see the position of the BDC circles changes in relation to the target. This is the reason the BDC reticle was originally designed to be used on the highest power.

With the introduction of the SpotOn software program, you now have the ability to determine the distance each circle represents at any magnification listed on the scope.

You can check out Nikon's Spot On Ballistic Program and optimize your zero with the ammo you are using. Spot On will also give you the greatest accuracy if you choose a BDC reticle.
