I am a waterfowler. How good are these at keeping feet warm in inactive hunts?
Inactive means sitting and not walking around or infrequent activity: like in a pit, blind or layout blind. I've seen where many boots are rated for cold weather but folks are unhappy sitting in deer stands. I'm thinking the manufacturers/retailers are "fudging" a bit and using the body heat from more active hunts that require packing in or stalking to meet temp range ratings. Once my feet go cold, I am done and I don't want to spend this kind of money and get cold feet
Also I'm curious about the new Boa "twist" system and how the dial on the back of the boot would be comfortable in a layout situation where calfs are on the ground??
