You may be able to get away with large. The sizes run pretty true. I'm, 225lb. Got the 2XL but returned them because they were too big. XL was perfect for me.

I am 6'3'' with a 40'' inch waist and 33' inseam and the Tall XL size fits me fine. I think the XXL's might bit too big.

Question

will the guidewear bibs without the 150 thinsulate also keep you warm in the teens and twenties, with say some sweat pants on?

I live in SC and the weather extreme is usually no more than down in the teens or twenties. Would have bought the thinsulate bibs but they were sold out,(discontinued).
I have already ordered the parka with the 150 thinsulate and was disappointed I could'nt get the bibs. So anyway I ordered the Guidewear Bibs without the 150 thinsulate.
Hope this was not a mistake.

The Cabela's GORE-TEX® Guidewear® Bibs Tall, item # IK:983058, along with most of our Cabela's clothing lines do not have temperature ratings assigned. There are many factors involved, such as an individual's metabolic rate, overall tolerance to cold, caloric intake and weather conditions, among others. Proper layering under the garment is also a major factor in temperature tolerance. There are too many external variables involved to accurately rate most garments.

I think they will work fine. The weather here in Alabama is similar or maybe a little colder and I have had no problem with staying warm. If it's not too cold, I wear a pair of jeans under the bibs and discard the bibs when it gets warmer. If it's really cold, I wear insulated underwear plus the jeans to add another layer. Hope this helps.

Yes.

Just layer up and you will be fine. That makes them better, because you can wear them when its not cold and not get overheated.

Tall is an inch or two longer than Regular. I'm 5'9 and I got the Tall Because I have longer arms. They fit perfect. The bib legs are not too long that you step all over them. Plus they have adjustable velcro straps on the wrist and ankles.

Hope this helps.
